I have been working in schools as a teacher since 1999, but I started teaching long before that as a dance and swim lesson instructor, and as the art teacher at a summer camp. I worked as a classroom teacher across the elementary school grades, as well as working as an Intervention Specialist and as a 1:1 SETSS provider. Following my decade as a teacher, I worked as a Senior Staff Developer at Teachers College Inclusive Classrooms Project, where I supported school teams as well as district-level projects with customized professional development and coaching to meet the needs of all learners. I have been lucky to have incredible collaborators, especially through my current project, Inclusive Classrooms Collective, and at The Lang School, where I have had opportunities to hone my own professional skills with partners who are creative and deeply committed to this work. I have been supporting The Lang School in its mission to serve the needs of twice exceptional learners since the school began and am grateful to be part of this community.
