I’ve been teaching since 2011, beginning my career in education as a peripatetic guitar teacher in schools around the North of England (where I was born and bred). I enjoyed sharing learning with students so much that I earned my national teaching credentials and became a high school/middle school music teacher in Derbyshire.

I moved to Seattle in 2015 and found real joy in teaching English and Social Studies, becoming a middle school Humanities teacher in the Shoreline School District. In 2021, I also served as Equity Lead for the school, working with staff and students district-wide toward racial equity in education.

I’m excited to be living in New York City, and I am thrilled to be part of the team at The Lang School teaching ELA. I look forward to connecting with and serving the students and families of the Lang community, please feel free to reach out, anytime.

In my spare time, my interests include reading, recording music, coding web apps, meditating, going to the gym and travelling.
