I’m excited to be in my fourth year as the Lower School Reading Specialist at The Lang School. Teaching reading has always been my passion, and I love supporting students as they grow into confident, independent readers. Before joining Lang, I spent 28 years at the Stephen Gaynor School, starting as a classroom teacher and later becoming a reading specialist—a role that quickly became my true calling. I’m especially inspired by the Orton-Gillingham approach and the difference it makes for struggling readers. As an educator and the mother of a daughter who faced school challenges, I bring multiple perspectives to my work. Outside of school, I enjoy time in Central Park, going to the gym, spending time with friends, and participating in a book club.
