I am excited to be a member of the Lang community and to serve as a 4th grade teacher. Prior to coming to Lang, I taught 4th and 5th grade ELA in Harlem for six years and spent one year before that teaching middle school in Chicago. I received my Masters of Science in Teaching from the Progressive Education Institute and Bachelor of Arts in English from Lawrence University. I love seeing the different ideas, interests, and skills that students bring to their classrooms and finding ways to incorporate all of those components into a classroom community and the year’s learning. Outside of school I love to read, play and watch soccer, and spend time with family and friends.
