I am excited to serve as The Lang School's College Counselor. I primarily work with the Upper School students, but also integrate into the Middle and Lower Schools. My role allows me to serve as a true school guidance counselor who assists all Lang students with academic planning along with supporting and guiding their college and/or career goals. I believe students should have exposure to different possibilities for their future at all stages of their education. Prior to coming to The Lang School, I worked as a school counselor at a private school in San Diego, California, where the student population consisted mostly of international high schoolers. Prior to that, I earned my Masters in School Counseling and worked with all age groups in Las Vegas, Nevada. Before my time as a counselor, I worked for four years as a high school Social Studies Teacher in Kentucky, where I was born and raised. I taught US History, World History, and Sociology. My connection with my students and commitment to their journey after high school is what drove me to pursue my counseling degree and eventually led me to Lang. I use my experience with students from every background and population to build a comprehensive guidance counseling program to ensure our students are truly prepared for life after Lang.
