Speech-Language Pathologist (Upper School) & Clinical Case Management

QUEENS COLLEGE - BA IN LINGUISTICS, COMMUNICATIONS & DISORDERS AND SOCIOLOGY
BROOKLYN COLLEGE - MS IN SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY

I am ecstatic to continue working with the collaborative Lang School team as a Speech and Language Pathologist and to work closely with the Lang School team and families in tandem to coordinate IEP meetings, Impartial Hearings, and support the follow-up from each.

I'm a certified Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) with extensive experience working with students in public, private, and independent schools, in addition to supervising student interns, clinical fellows, and certified SLPs. I hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and am licensed by the board of New York. A proud CUNY alumni, I completed my undergraduate studies at Queens College with Bachelor of Science degrees in Linguistics & Communications Disorders and Sociology. I continued my education at CUNY's Brooklyn College, earning a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology in addition to a TSSLD teaching license.

A core component of my work with students involves bridging the work of the therapy team and education team, to ensure that students are carrying over progress, authentically in and out of the classroom. Over the years, I've pursued continued education focusing on Social Thinking, Executive Functioning, Orton Gillingham, and PROMPT training. On a daily basis, I continue to scratch my head, brainstorming ways to integrate strategies into school-based practice at Lang, working with staff and teachers to promote and foster opportunities for carryover. When conducting therapy, I consider myself a huge believer in investing time to build strong relationships with students and families.

When I'm not in session, you might find me in the kitchen taste-testing vegetarian recipes with my daughters, hiking with my dogs, or pursuing my newfound passion for skiing.
