I am excited to join the Lang family in the role of Upper School Student Support Lead. I  have accumulated more than 15 years of experience supporting students, families, and school communities across academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs in New Jersey.  I began my career as a school-based social worker, providing K–8 students with SEL instruction, individual and group counseling, intervention and referral support, and school-wide initiatives. Most recently, I served as a K–12 Supervisor of Guidance, reinforcing and developing multi-tiered systems of support and tiered interventions, 504 coordination and supporting students with diverse learning and regulation needs. I have also served as a New Jersey Anti-Bullying Specialist, providing training to school and district staff and administrators on how to best support students.

At the heart of my work is a genuine passion for helping students find their voice, advocating for their needs, and helping them recognize and use their strengths. I believe that understanding what a student can do, and what makes them unique, is often the key to helping them navigate the areas that feel more challenging. This strengths-based, whole-student approach is one of the reasons I feel such a strong connection to Lang’s twice-exceptional (2E) community. I am excited to partner with students, staff, and families to help our students feel understood, supported, empowered, and successful. Outside of school, I love movies (especially thrillers and true crime), my two cats (Opie and Bruce Wayne), organizing/home decor, and art and drawing. I’m looking forward to getting to know the Lang community and being part of the team!
