It’s a privilege to serve as Director of Strategic Advancement at The Lang School, where I lead strategy and direction for fundraising and development in support of students whose creativity, complexity, and potential call for a radically different kind of education. Drawing on more than 20 years in nonprofit fundraising, strategy, and communications, I build scalable and sustainable fundraising frameworks and meaningful relationships that ultimately help expand access to exceptional education and support the growth, confidence, and sense of belonging Lang students need to thrive. I’ve spent much of my career working with organizations that rethink traditional systems, from open knowledge platforms to alternative education models, and I am proud to continue that work at Lang, where education is designed differently because students are.
Before joining The Lang School, I held leadership roles at the Wikimedia Foundation, Creative Commons, and Common Crawl, helping to broaden public access to knowledge and technology through fundraising, partnerships, and communications. Earlier in my career, I supported major gift efforts for the University of Cambridge’s development office in the U.S. I hold a Bachelor of Science in French and English from Georgetown University and a Master’s in Journalism and French Studies from New York University.
Beyond work, my happiest days involve mountains, open water, a good book, and my dog. I’m passionate about animal rescue, a total wine nerd, and a jewelry designer and maker on the side.
