David Walsh

David Walsh is  a member, and Treasurer,  of the board of trustees of The Lang School. Previously he was the Chief Financial Officer of  The Atlantic Philanthropies. Mr. Walsh was responsible for the foundation’s investment and financial operations and reporting functions as well as providing finance-related support to Atlantic’s grantmaking. He joined Atlantic in 1995 as Vice President of General Atlantic Corporation, a holding company for the foundation’s operating businesses, where he was responsible for the finance, tax and accounting functions. David started his career with Arthur Andersen & Co. where, as a Tax Consulting Manager, he had a diverse base of corporate and partnership clients. He qualified as a certified public accountant in 1987. Mr. Walsh also served as Vice President – Finance for Triumph Resources Corporation, an oil and gas investment firm. He earned a BA in business from the College of William and Mary and an MBA in International Finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
